I am the Director of Marketing for ANICHINI, a leader in luxury home furnishings and textiles. Anichini strives to find textiles and furnishings that are made with exquisite craftsmanship from around the world for its collection, honoring and celebrating traditions that are soon to be lost arts, redesigning them for the modern world. Prior to this I was the Director of Visuals and Merchandising for six years, coordinating the visual merchandising and buying for retail stores, outlet stores, and showrooms.
I also work as an interior stylist and visual merchandising consultant. I work with a number of different clients on interior styling, merchandising, and marketing. For businesses I create plans and designs that reflect the brand and engage and inspire the customer. For residential clients I seek to create spaces that engage and inspire as well, but that are decidedly home, decidedly you, surrounded by things that make you think, yes.
I worked for Select Design, a marketing and branding firm, managing the marketing needs for clients such as Moët-Hennessy, Burton Snowboards, Sephora, and Sirius XM. I evaluated brands and market trends to identify strategic opportunities, managed product design and development, print production, and the design and production of point-of-sale visuals and merchandise.
Prior to these I collaborated on the creative vision and design for Foxtail, a sophisticated home furnishings and garden brand renowned for its design philosophy, visual presentations, and inspired product mix. The brand was formed around an appreciation for the natural world, and catered to a lifestyle in which plants and the garden, quality products, and beautiful craftsmanship play an integral role. I managed the visual merchandising and buying for all merchandise and headed the floral design, overseeing weddings, in-store design, and custom and corporate clients such as Simon Pearce, Twin Farms, and Dartmouth College.
I have many interests which inform my sense. First and foremost is fashion. I have taken classes in dressmaking, created pieces which play with classic styles, using unexpected materials and twists, often embellished with vintage fabrics or elements. Second is food. I cook and bake avidly and am currently striving for the perfect sourdough boule. I have a deep appreciation for the natural world. I have worked at nurseries and garden stores such as Smith and Hawken, in garden design, on a specialty cut flower farm, and have grown orchids avidly. I am also a painter. I enjoy the visual arts, graphic design, and print media. I am inspired by color, texture, and form.
Whatever the medium, whether in my career or my personal pursuits, I am inspired by creativity and innovation. I strive to offer new ways of seeing.
